Share these directions with clients or other guests:
To find the studio, you can search for "The Daylight Room" on Google Maps. It's located at 1800 Central Avenue, Suite 302 Charlotte, NC 28205. You can park in the lot for 1800 Central, just be sure to start a parking session with the qr code on the parking lot signs and validate your parking immediately when you enter the studio using the validation kiosk. Please use the main entrance facing Central Avenue. It's the double door entrance between Southern Strain Brewery and Modish Nail Salon. Take the elevator up to the third floor and find Suite 302.
For 0-2 hours:
Scan the bar code on any of the parking signs when you park in the lot for 1800 Central, and enter your phone number and license plate, then click "START PARKING SESSION." Ignore the following page. When you enter the studio, use the validation tablet at the coffee station to validate your parking for 2 hours. Please inform your guests as well.
For 2-10 hours:
There's a $11/day fee for paid parking. Just use the QR code on the 2-10 hour parking info sheet or click here to start a paid parking session.
If the lot is full, please feel free to parallel park along Nandina Street.

Weekday Access
1. Enter 1800 Central and head to Suite 302
The front entrance faces Central Avenue, not the parking lot. It's the double door entrance between Mod-ish Nail Salon and Southern Strain. Suite 302 is on the 3rd Floor.
2. Grab the key fob from the lockbox to the left of the door
Wake up the lockbox by tapping the screen, and enter your unique code (from your email reminder) followed by the unlock button in the center. Inside, you'll find a spiral bracelet with the key fob. Tap the fob against the black rectangular fob reader, and push the door open.
TIP: Since the door automatically locks when shut, please wear the key fob lanyard at all times during your rental.
3. Return this key fob to the lockbox on your way out!
Weekend Access

2. Retrieve a key fob
Wake up the lockbox by tapping the screen, and enter your unique code (from your email reminder) then press the center unlock button and pull it open from the top. Inside you’ll find a key fob that works for the building entrances AND studio door—please keep it with you at all times during your rental to avoid being locked out.
4. Return this key fob to the same outdoor lockbox on your way out!
1. Locate the lockbox behind the building
Locate the igloohome lockbox outside at the back of the building, near the parking lot. If you're facing the rear entrance door, the lockbox is mounted to the right of that door on the utility equipment. Look for the rounded lockbox with the igloohome logo.
Are the paper backdrops free to use?
Backdrops are available to all renters to use during their visit as long as they are not damaged or “used”. If you do step on (and leave noticeable footprints, scuffs, etc), tear, wrinkle or destroy the paper backdrops there is a fee of $20/yd to be trimmed for the 107” mounted backdrops or $10/yd for the 53” smaller paper backdrops.
